Inspiration

It is so amazing

when imagination comes swirling inside of you and it just keeps overflowing :)

That's what happened to me today. I was suppose to continue doing my thesis when I wanted to watch for a while. I turned on the television and spotted the animated film, "9". You should watch it too! :D

When I saw this trailer a few months or years ago, I didn't really mind because it was full of robots and it didn't really appeal to me. (I'm sorry, I'm not really a robot or mecha type of person. But i admire people making them. :D It seems so hard. :P) But WOAAH! I was hooked. :P hehehe It was pretty cool. And then one thing led to another, I got my sketchpad and my pen and just kept trying to draw the movement, the unique character designs and so one. :) I got irritated though because my pen ran out and I was so into the zone. :P hehehe

And then I can't get enough of drawing. So, i surfed some more and then I stumbled upon Monster's Inc. :D I kept drawing and drawing. :) I even used markers which I am not confident using because I have no idea how to use it. :P So, I just played with it. It looked decent (?) I guess. :P haha

This i got inspiration from watching "Megamind" :P

I did this drawing from "Presto". :P hehe

I never knew watching t.v. could be so inspirational. I had always thought it would be hard to draw while watching. I prefer practicing or drawing with still pictures but i was wrong! It was great! :D I got pumped up! :P hahaha I should do this more often. :)

See? Even I got so carried away writing and sharing this experience with you guys. Anyway, here are my sketches/drawings while I was pumped up. It's not so great but hey, i got inspired. I shall keep on practicing markers too! :D

Ohya! i totally forgot to update you guys. sorry, its been long. Thesis here, thesis there...thesis is everywhere. But i shall try to update. ;)

Ballerina Much?

Hello once again! :)

I know its been a long time since I've updated things here but I've been really busy with my thesis but finally the first part is done :P hahaha i can relax for maybe some time but i'd be busy again soon continuing it. :P hahaha

Anyway, because I've been busy I couldn't even make a present for my beloved friends whose birthdays were last november so i promised myself to finish there present and one of them is finally done! :)

My friend who loves to dance is a ballet dancer and she is good at it too! ;) I hope she likes it! :D I am now in progress on doing something for my other friend! :D

have anything in mind? My next friend's course is HRIM (she's learning to be a chef) hehe. What kind of design do you think i should do? ;)

I am also planning an artwork x-mas present for my barkada. Especially now we don't see each other often. This is the only way I can give them presents. At least its from the heart and i made them. :)

Sketches

Here are some sketches I've been doing in my sketchpad. It's not that much because I am busy with thesis but I try to do some to keep practicing. :) hehe

The first drawing were sketches from my two cousin's debut ( They are twin boys and just turned 21. ;) ) and my tito's 55th birthday! (PLUS my grandfather who passed away a long time ago) :D Yes! They have the same birthday hehe (TRIVIA: Their birthday distance are 34 years. :P Isn't that cool? :P)

The second image was on the eve of All Saint's Day. :)

And the last image was done when I was in my cousin's and tita's birthday. :) I tried using colored pencil because it's been a while since I used them. I need to practice with my colored pencils. Though I am still not good in shading, I'm still trying to learn it. :p hehe

Amelie-inspired

While thinking of ideas on how to make concept arts and backgrounds for my thesis, I took a break and did some sketch.

I was inspired by a shot on the film "AMELIE". Not only was I watching this film for entertainment (and I am a fan of the actress AUDREY TAUTOU and the french director, JEAN-PIERRE JEUNET)but for inspiration, and some shot practices for my storyboard. They say watching movies can help you in storyboarding. ;)

I'm not yet done with the film but so far, its getting interesting. :P hehe maybe I'll finish it if I am not that busy. :P

I'm still figuring out how to digi-paint so don't kill me if it's not as pretty. :P hehehe but I am eager to learn more and more. :)

Rag Doll Production

Still busy with thesis. hehe

But I am proud to share one of the things I've accomplished for my thesis. :)

This is my production name: Rag doll Production :)

I came up with this name because I wanted the production to represent me. And I like to be different. And I kept thinking of things that were different until I came up with Barbie dolls and I thought what's the other side of barbie dolls, hmmmm... rag dolls, perhaps? :)

Then I was inspired by the famous rag doll, Raggedy Ann and one of my favorite artist, Mr. Alberto Cerriteno. So here it is, my production name :D

So there you have it. Hope you like it, guys! :D
