Sketches

Here are some sketches I've been doing in my sketchpad. It's not that much because I am busy with thesis but I try to do some to keep practicing. :) hehe

The first drawing were sketches from my two cousin's debut ( They are twin boys and just turned 21. ;) ) and my tito's 55th birthday! (PLUS my grandfather who passed away a long time ago) :D Yes! They have the same birthday hehe (TRIVIA: Their birthday distance are 34 years. :P Isn't that cool? :P)

The second image was on the eve of All Saint's Day. :)

And the last image was done when I was in my cousin's and tita's birthday. :) I tried using colored pencil because it's been a while since I used them. I need to practice with my colored pencils. Though I am still not good in shading, I'm still trying to learn it. :p hehe

Amelie-inspired

While thinking of ideas on how to make concept arts and backgrounds for my thesis, I took a break and did some sketch.

I was inspired by a shot on the film "AMELIE". Not only was I watching this film for entertainment (and I am a fan of the actress AUDREY TAUTOU and the french director, JEAN-PIERRE JEUNET)but for inspiration, and some shot practices for my storyboard. They say watching movies can help you in storyboarding. ;)

I'm not yet done with the film but so far, its getting interesting. :P hehe maybe I'll finish it if I am not that busy. :P

I'm still figuring out how to digi-paint so don't kill me if it's not as pretty. :P hehehe but I am eager to learn more and more. :)

Rag Doll Production

Still busy with thesis. hehe

But I am proud to share one of the things I've accomplished for my thesis. :)

This is my production name: Rag doll Production :)

I came up with this name because I wanted the production to represent me. And I like to be different. And I kept thinking of things that were different until I came up with Barbie dolls and I thought what's the other side of barbie dolls, hmmmm... rag dolls, perhaps? :)

Then I was inspired by the famous rag doll, Raggedy Ann and one of my favorite artist, Mr. Alberto Cerriteno. So here it is, my production name :D

So there you have it. Hope you like it, guys! :D

Beautiful Monster

Funny how in one picture you could come up with so much things. :)

Today, I was doing one of my concept art for my thesis. I was playing around with the design when suddenly I saw something forming. I can see a monster or owl in it.

So, i made eyes, some feathers, a funny nose and VOILA!

A BEAUTIFUL MONSTER :P

I just got this title from the song I was listening to, while making my concept art which was Neyo's "Beautiful Monster". :P

True Love

It's been a while. sorry for not updating sooner. :)

I was really busy in school but now it's our term break so I have some time to post things. I am actually thinking of ideas for my thesis and while thinking of ideas I wanted to practice drawing and practice with photoshop :D

So my subjects were my friend and her special someone. :) I played with texture, pen tool and lots more so I can be familiarize with photoshop.

So i made two backgrounds. What do you think is better? I know its a little off and not yet that there but hey! I am practicing so I'll try and try hopefully i get better.

So the first one was actually inspired because of the passionate color red. Well we usually associate color red with love so there you have it! :D And I mixed some brown with it to experiment it.

And this one is inspired by my nearby pillow. I kinda liked the calmness and classic colors and the feel of the pillow so I used it. :)

a new approach

WAAAAW!!! It's been a while since I posted something. hahaha, sorry I've been busy. :P I've been doing a lot of drawing in my sketchpad and some practice in photoshop but had no time to scan and upload them :)) heheAnyway this drawing was done...hmmmm...late at night while I was actually suppose to do my homework in a certain subject. :P hehehe... I wanted to take a break from studying and draw. :P hehehe
